The Chithambara Maths Challenge is a charity organisation hosted by the Chithambara School, located in North Sri Lanka. They host this challenge in the UK and other countries worldwide annually. Last year, when I was in Year 2, I participated in the challenge for the first time.  The challenge happened online because of Covid 19.  I found the test very difficult, but to my surprise, after a few months I was selected to attend the award ceremony.  I went to the award ceremony in London with my family. At the ceremony I was really nervous because there were approximately 200 children invited.  When they called me up to the stage, they announced my marks and rank.  However, before I could hear the announcement, there was an enthusiastic round of applause by the audience.  I felt very proud of myself as I realised that I had achieved the 2nd rank with 97%!
