Woodford Green Preparatory School is seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified Piano and Voice teacher to join our team from September 2025. 

We are looking for an experienced and suitably qualified piano and voice teacher to join our team from September 2025. This is a full-time post with currently an even split between piano and voice lessons although this may change depending on the strength of the candidate(s), with the possibility for two part-time roles.

All of our Visiting Music Teachers are self-employed, with fees paid directly to the Visiting Music Teacher.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be an experienced and suitably qualified Piano and Voice teacher. As a Visiting Music Teacher, you will: 

  • Teach piano and voice from age 6+
  • Prepare pupils to take graded exams
  • Be prepared to accompany pupils for exams
  • Produce annual reports regarding the pupils you teach
  • Maintaining a termly lesson timetable that is shared with the Director of Music
  • Support the Director of Music where appropriate
About You

We are looking for an experienced and suitably qualified Piano and Voice teacher who is deeply passionate about their pupils. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be able to teach piano and voice with high expectations of their pupils.
  • Be able to be flexible and stay on top of all communications including emails.
  • Have the understanding of a busy school environment and how that can affect pupils and their timetables.
