Senior First Line IT Support Technician

Required from November 2026

Bancroft’s, one of the country’s leading co-educational day schools, are looking for a Senior First Line IT Support Technician, to provide high-quality first-line IT support to staff and pupils across the Bancroft’s Family of Schools (BFoS), which comprises Bancroft’s School, St Aubyn’s (Woodford Green) School and Woodford Green Preparatory School, acting as the senior point of escalation within the first-line support team. The postholder will also
undertake more complex second-line tasks such as server maintenance, network troubleshooting and system administration, working closely with the First Line Support Coordinator and Network Manager to maintain a reliable and secure IT service for c. 1,900 pupils and c. 440 staff.

This role reports to the First Line Coordinator, and will be based at Bancroft’s School. The successful candidate will provide support across all of the schools, with a focus initially on Woodford Green Prep School.

Working Hours
The post is 52 weeks per year. The working hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch.

Remuneration
Indicative salary: £30,000 – £33,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications, reflecting the senior and multi-site nature of the role.
